As a result of the summer programme it was identified that young people were interested in fishing and wanted to have their own fishing club as there is a lack of provision that supports or facilitates this.

CYPIC in partnership with the community, a resident Peter Phillips (fisherman) planned and put together a funding bid to Kick Start 3. The Funding bid was successful and kingfisher was awarded £1,000 to purchase equipment. The committee consists of the Chair, Peter Phillips(resident), Secretary, Soraya Cordle(CYPIC) The club encourages that children and young people are actively involved in the decision making process.

The Club to date has taken the young people fishing to the Knap and to the Docks and plan to take them on long distance trips.
