Development so far..
In 2009, Avian Community Business began the heavy work of bringing in the basic construction materials.

Pathways were marked out and some of the edgings were put in place. The work attracted quite a few passers by who were very interested in what was going on and were pleased to know that we were getting rid of the eyesore.

Avian then began to fill in the beds with soil and plant some of the preliminary flowers and shrubs in the beds.

The geraniums of white and red in the opposing beds show strong eye catching colours, whilst the tropical appearance of the spikey phormium offer contrast within the beds.

Also an assortment of ferns, fuschias, begonias and hebes add depth and greenery to the centre. Aucuba Japonicas help to give the illusion of a foreign land.
If there is a plant, flower or shrub you would like to see in the garden please do not hesitate to let us know
