Conceptualisation
One of the first stages in development of the garden was coming up with a general layout. It was put to the design team to sketch out a rough design on paper that could be used as a guide in future development of the garden.
3 concepts were looked at initially, and ideas for each were discussed. The main objective of these preliminary sketches was to envision a pathway for users of the garden and to try and build an idea around this.

The Concepts shown were the starting point of the design process. Each concept was quite unique in it's shape, but after a vote taken by the design team in late 2007, it was decided that Concept 1 was the most appealing and allowed for a better use of the space given.
At this stage in development, Neil Moore the I.T. consultant at the time was asked to create some 3D concept art to aid in the visualisation of the garden to give a greater idea of the scale and overall layout of the garden.
